Setting a budget for a project can be the biggest hurdle in getting funding and/or city approval. Southeastern Design works with Developers and Design Build Contractors to set realistic budgets with products and labor partners that meet the function and aesthetic needs of the project. By ensuring nothing is over (or under) specified, SDC assists in getting projects fiscally possible while maintining a high level of quality.

Southeastern Design not only designs projects with many industry leading manufacturers, we also have the ability to supply these products to customers looking for that service. When specifying the right product, providing detailed shop drawings and structural calculations for proof of concept, supplying the material is the last step to a successful project. Products offered include vinyl / aluminum / PVC windows, aluminum window wall, storefront and curtainwall, aluminum doors, raw edge glass, all glass systems. Fabricated material also available for customers looking for storefront and curtainwall shipped KD or assembled.

Once a project has reached construction, SDC offers industry leading shop drawings that are used with other trades to ensure a smooth installation. Southeastern shows all perimeter conditions, anchor locations, water barrier interfaces, etc. to leave no ambiguity. Shop drawing services are offered for windows, storefront, aluminum doors, curtainwall, window walls, glass handrails, all glass entrances, and all glass walls. Along with drafting, SDC can offer delegated design services with a PE stamp for all systems designed. We are licensed in over 40 states and territories including Hawaii.

Southeastern Design alleviates the headaches of coordinating a commercial construction project’s DFHW scope of work. SDC’s spec writing capabilities, in-house submittal process, keying and design meeting oversight, and procurement capabilities create a smooth design-to-completion process for building owners and general contractors. Products offered in this category include hollow metal frames, hollow metal doors, wood doors, aluminum frames, fire-rated material, blast/impact rated systems, and all associated hardware.

Renovation is a great way for schools or historical buildings to provide a facelift or breathe new life into a once landmark structure. Southeastern Design will perform site survey, provide viable options, set budgets for material and labor in the preconstruction phase. Once the project is approved, SDC will work with SHPO to get the windows (or other materials) approved as well as procure / assist in material order and full installation.

Southeastern Design brings the same attention to detail approach as if they were handling a complex commercial project (like a hospital for example) on all residential and multi-family projects they are engaged in. Some of the additional value-add services SDC brings to this scope of work include coordinating rough opening requirements with other trades, access control and keying coordination, and in-person representation during first deliveries and first installations. Products offered in this category include pre-hung units, fire-rated unit entry assemblies, bi-fold and closet doors, pocket doors, patio doors, common space openings, and all associated hardware.
